Forever You are Faithful (Retah McPherson)

Our lives are all telling different stories and we all face challenges.

Every day, there is something challenging on our plates and we need to look it in the eyes and make a choice to overcome, whatever it is.

You should think of it as spiritual weight training. You start with light weights but as time progresses and you become stronger, you move on to heavier weights. The same applies to our faith muscles.

We start with light weights – issues that require only a small measure of faith – and the stronger our faith muscles become, the more we can stand victorious in the midst of hardship.

I have learned from preparing to run a marathon, that training is hard – and when you have stopped and then start again – that is the hardest. It feels like you have to start from scratch. Training requires dedication, commitment and always keeping the end goal in mind.

This is why Holy Spirit urges us to keep on training our spiritual muscles, every day of our lives.

I have learned that the stronger your spiritual muscles are, the quicker you grow into maturity. The more mature you become, the more discernment and wisdom you have when you are faced with problems.

Abba Father has an amazing ‘”weight training program” available to all His children. The purpose of this program is to transform our spirit man into becoming a new creation.

The name of this weight is – GOD is FAITHFUL! “Faithfulness” is one of the attributes of God’s unchanging nature.

He trains us so that we will be able to carry the whole measure of faith. We get to exercise our faith through trials, challenges, afflictions and troubles. Every situation we face, gives us the opportunity to trust in, lean on and rely upon Him – building our strength, resistance and faith. Through these circumstances and challenges you build faith, confidence and a memory bank of trust and reliance. So that the next time you face difficulties, you can say – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. With my God I can leap over a wall.

We view our slight, short-lived troubles in the light of eternity. We see our difficulties as the substance that produces for us an eternal, weighty glory far beyond all comparison, because we don’t focus our attention on what is seen but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but the unseen realm is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:17-18 TPT)

Today, I am asking you – do you know God as a Faithful Father?
Because if you do know Him as Faithful – then it will be much easier for you to face all your challenges.

If you are trained with the weights of faithfulness and are familiar with your Faithful Father, then you will be able to speak life in the midst of darkness, never doubting Him, leaving no place for doubt or fear. You will be steadfast and confident in Him.

The more resistance in the weight training, the stronger we become. While we train, we should release a sound and a vibration of faith and hope. We should study the Word, speak the Word and stand on the Word.

Ps 36:5 But you, O Lord, Your mercy-seat love is limitless, reaching higher than the highest heavens. Your great faithfulness is infinite, stretching over the whole earth. (Passion translation)

Lam 3:22-23 It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. [Mal. 3:6.] They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. [Isa. 33:2.]” AMPC

God was faithful to provide a ram for Abraham.

God was faithful to bring Joseph out of the Egyptian prison.

God was faithful to bring Noah and his family safely through the flood.

God was faithful to protect Daniel in the lion’s den.

God was faithful to spare the lives of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego when they were thrown into the fiery furnace.

God was faithful to care for Elijah when he was so depressed, he begged to die.

And God was faithful to deliver us from eternal death through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son.

God is still faithful, God has always been faithful and God always will be faithful.

What are the sounds that you release as you are training your spiritual muscles? Are you complaining? Do you go into self-pity? Do you blame God for forsaking you? Or others? Are you releasing sounds of faith, hope, love? Remember these are seeds in the soil for your next season – and exactly what you sow, you shall reap.

The enemy needs you to come into agreement with your generational dark vibrations of unbelief, doubt and fear. By doing so, the iniquity force and stronghold is strengthened. And this in turn makes you weak and the battle more intense. Don’t supply ammunition for the enemy to kill, destroy and steal from you.
God wants us to override these dark sounds within us – He wants us to overcome.
Your words carry power and you need to speak life to override the death.

God is faithful to keep all of His promises.
Ps 145:13b You are faithful to fulfil every promise You’ve made. You manifest Yourself as kindness in all You do.

God is faithful to deliver us in times of trouble.
Ps 50:15 Honour Me by trusting in Me in your day of trouble. Cry aloud to Me, and I will be there to rescue you.

God is faithful to deliver us in times of temptation.
1 Cor 10:13 We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face, so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.

God is faithful to forgive us.
1 John 1:9 But, if we freely admit our sins when His light uncovers them, He will be faithful to forgive us every time. God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and He will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

God is faithful even when we are faithless.
2 Tim 2:13 But even if we are faithless, He will still be full of faith, for He never wavers in His faithfulness to us!

The truth is that everyone of us go through trials and troubles that test our faith. Some days, we pass these tests and some days, we fail. Some days we are eager to exercise our faith muscles and on others the battle is just to get out of bed. Today I am so thankful that God is faithful till the end.

Today, He asks of us to keep on exercising our faith, because in the times that we are to face we will not be able to stand, if we are not trained in His faithfulness.

My life, my body, soul and spirit should cry out – Faithful is God! This should be your first response in time of difficulty. Start proclaiming it even now.

My family and I also go through challenges, just like everyone else – but I found myself, even last night, facing a situation, and with joy I spoke to the mountain.
“Mountain, you know you might look big and difficult to move, but I want to tell you about my God – He is faithful till the end, He is mighty, He is strong, He is faithful, He is true to His Word, He is I AM.”

I could feel how I was lifting a heavy weight in the spirit and the more I lift it, the easier it became. Later I started to sing and worship and just like that, the mountain vanished from my sight as my King was lifted High. All I could behold was His faithfulness. I saw my King, High and lifted up. Higher than any mountain, higher than my fears, higher than what I can see with my eyes – and a new dimension of faith opened up and God started showing me His Kingdom and all His promises.

“Retah, this is how you unlock My Kingdom, and bring it down to earth”

And all I could do was to respond, Father, let Your Kingdom come, let Your will be done – on earth as it is in heaven.

God bless you my dear friend, lets run the race of faith and keep on training our faith muscles.
