Rob Bell is An Antichrist

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (1 John 2:18-19, KJV)

Rob Bell is an antichrist; not THE antichrist, but an AN antichrist (one of many), as defined in 1 John 2:18-19.

According to CharismaNews, the former megachurch pastor is now a universalist who mixes quantum physics, Jewish Kabbalah and Catholic mysticism to explain humanity’s future evolution.

Bell was a graduate of Wheaton College and Fuller Theological Seminary, and became an evangelical luminary with the success of Mars Hill Bible Church in Michigan — the church which he founded at age 28 and which once boasted a Sunday attendance of 10,000.

However, Bell’s insistence that the Bible be treated as literary rather than literal should have served as warning to his followers.

Then, he published “Love Wins,” in which he questioned the existence of hell, leading to many of his followers parting company with him, and him being called a modern-day heretic.

A year later, Bell left Mars Hill and moved to Los Angeles in search of a broadcast audience and a “more forgiving faith.” An opportunity to be an Oprah Winfrey Network talk-show host came his way, which he duly seized. However, the partnership with Oprah was short-lived and fizzled out earlier this year. Now, Bell says he’s working on another TV programme.

At the meantime, Bell is doing a 30-city “Everything Is Spiritual” tour, in which he explores the religious mystery within science, and draws from New Age healing champion Deepak Chopra, Sufi mystic Rumi and Catholic theologian Pierre Teilhard de Chardin — an amalgamation sure to rile some of his ex-followers who had made him famous.
